I Call Him by His Name (2022)

The sole survivor of a terrible Russian massacre in Ukraine joins the wives and mothers of his dead comrades to tell an extraordinary story. The film investigates Russian actions in the Kyiv suburb of Bucha.
This film won the Foreign Press Association Award for Best Documentary of the Year. The judges said :
“Beautiful storytelling with a specific and strong angle letting the bereaved women do their talking”. The judges praised Director/Producer Alice Doyard, for her great film making and incredible interviews on the ground in Ukraine and Fergal Keane for a brilliant script, superbly delivered. Most of the judges said they have been in tears. In a crowded field of stories about Ukraine, this one was felt to be extraordinary.

Colette (2021)

90-year-old Colette Marin-Catherine confronts her past by visiting the German concentration camp Mittelbau-Dora where her brother was killed.
As a young girl, she fought Hitler's Nazis as a member of the French Resistance.
For 74 years, she has refused to step foot in Germany, but that changes when a young history student named Lucie enters her life.
Prepared to re-open old wounds and revisit the terrors of that time, Marin-Catherine offers important lessons for us all.

The First World War from Above (2010)

While making this film Alice Doyard uncovered rare archival footage. She found film taken from a French airship in summer 1919, showing the battlefields in a way never seen before.
Alice and Fergal Keane met the daughter of the airship pilot and showed her film of her father - her first time seeing a living image of him. He was killed by the Gestapo when she was a baby.
Like much of their work, the film warns about the forces that can overwhelm humanity when fear is allowed to triumph.

Journey into Darkness (1994)
Fergal Keane witnessed the Rwandan genocide in 1994.
His films ‘Journey into Darkness’ and ‘The Killers’ are regarded as foundational visual accounts of the killing.
He later appeared as a witness at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. His book ‘Season of Blood - a Rwandan Journey' won the Orwell Prize for Political Writing and was a ‘New York Times Notable Book.’
